Coach Jerry Kill to headline Carbondale FCA Home Team Banquet
The 2014 Carbondale FCA Home Team Banquet will feature current University of Minnesota and former Southern Illinois University Head Football Coach Jerry Kill, as well as area coaches, student-athletes and FCA staff and volunteers. The Banquet will be held Tuesday, April 15 at the ballrooms of the SIU Student Center.

Kill, a member of the SIU Athletics Hall of Fame, was named head coach of the Golden Gophers in December 2010, following two seasons at Northern Illinois. He was head coach at Southern Illinois from 2001 to 2007, and is considered one of the all-time great coaches in Saluki Football History.

At the banquet, guests have the opportunity to pledge financial support to the Southern Illinois Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with those individuals pledging $25 per month or more being recognized as Home Team members.

Welcome to

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an interdenominational Christian Organization "presenting to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church."

For many of those years, FCA in Southern Illinois has worked to advance Jesus' Kingdom through sport. Our focus always has been on four primary areas of ministry: Coaches, Campus, Camps and Community.

Through working with coaches, teams, players, athletes, small groups called huddles, churches and community volunteers, the Southern Illinois Fellowship of Christian Athletes is having a tremendous positive impact in our region.

Today, we encompass 26 counties, more than 60 huddles in middle schools, junior highs and high schools. We work with students from Rend Lake College and are actively involved in athletics and outreach at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Hundreds of sponsors and volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
