Southern Illinois FCA

FCA's Community Ministry is overlooked by most people, but without it we couldn't offer Campus Ministry, Camps or Coaches Ministry. Our work with local citizens, businesses and churches in the communities of Southern Illinois provide the foundation for the other facets of our ministry.

By being a part of our Community, you have a role in the positive impact FCA is having throughout our region.

There are multiple ways to become part of the FCA family. Camps and events throughout the year rely on literally hundreds of volunteers to work.

Our Home Team Banquets are annual events held each spring in Carbondale and Mt. Vernon. In addition to serving as a chance to learn about FCA's many areas of ministry, the banquets also provide opportunities to hundreds of people to financially support our work.

Additionally, SIFCA's efforts are conducted under the guidance of a volunteer leadership board which meets monthly to review and plan FCA activities.

Many area golfers enjoy several opportunities to take to the links in FCA Golf Scrambles. These events support ministries and provide great fun!

Details on all of our community events are available by visiting the links above.

One volunteer shares what FCA means to his family...

Our family was introduced to FCA through the very first Carbondale Power Camp, nearly 10 years ago. Our son was a camper and had such a tremendous time, that we just had to learn more about FCA.

My company was looking for a local Christian charity to support. Based on my son's experiences, we chose FCA. Not only did our firm make a contribution (both financially and in-kind), but our entire staff volunteered at the next year's camp.

Seeing the impact of the camp on the lives of young people changed my life. Since then both of my children have attended multiple FCA camps, been involved in Huddles at school and now volunteer at camps themselves.

It is my privilege to continue to support FCA as a Home Team member, part of the Leadership Board and as a camp director. Even though we work to impact the lives of young people for Christ, we gain as much as they do from FCA.
